I had a good stay at Hotel Acadia in Quebec City. The location was perfect for exploring Old Quebec, with easy access to food and sightseeing. My room was charming, featuring a unique stained glass window in the bathroom. However, I did notice some maintenance issues like peeling paint. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, though a few improvements could be made.

Rooms
8.0
My room was nicely decorated and quite cozy. I especially loved the fireplace, which was perfect for the snowy weather. However, I did notice some paint peeling in places, which could be improved.
Service
7.0
The check-in process was quick and efficient, but I wished the staff would have been a bit more friendly and welcoming.
Location
9.0
The location was fantastic, close to everything in Old Quebec, making it easy for me to explore the area.
Dining
9.0
Breakfast was served at a nearby restaurant, and I enjoyed the variety of options available on the preset menu - definitely more than enough to satisfy me each morning.
Facilities

While the hotel had a charming ambiance, it lacked some modern amenities, and I could hear noises from other rooms at times.

5.6/10

My stay at Hotel Acadia had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring Old Quebec, but the room itself left a lot to be desired. While the historical building had its charm, the amenities and maintenance could definitely improve.

Rooms
6.0
The room was comfortable and clean with a nice fireplace, but I had to be careful of the low beam above the bed. Also, being placed in an older building that isn’t well-kept and far from the main reception was less than ideal.
Service
6.0
The staff were mostly friendly and helpful despite being busy. Although I found the expectation for tips after some casual service a bit off-putting.
Location
8.0
The hotel is ideally situated in Old Quebec, making it easy to walk to all major attractions. The charming streets nearby added to the appealing atmosphere of the area.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were limited. I had a disappointing breakfast experience with only basic fare available. I ended up finding a great local restaurant nearby that I enjoyed much more.
Facilities
5.0
Although the hotel has potential with amenities like a rooftop hot tub, I didn't use them, and the overall environment felt unwelcoming with a scruffy lobby. The air conditioning was also quite noisy, which disturbed my sleep.

I really enjoyed the excellent location of Hotel Acadia in the heart of Upper Vieux Quebec, with smooth check-in and helpful staff. However, my room felt a bit outdated and could use some upgrades, especially for the price. Overall, it was a decent stay, but there were some things that could be improved.

Rooms
6.0
My room was clean and spacious, but it had an old-school vibe that didn't quite match the charm of the city. The blackout drapes were a lifesaver with the early summer sun, but I expected more for a Superior Room at this price.
Service
7.0
Hotel staff were super friendly and accommodating, making sure our request for ground floor rooms was met. However, I did notice some inconsistency at the front desk, which left me wondering sometimes if I could count on their efficiency.
Location
10.0
The location was absolutely unbeatable, right in old Quebec City and close to everything I wanted to see. It was great to be just a short walk away from the beautiful streets and attractions.
Dining
6.0
Breakfast was decent at the nearby steakhouse, but I found the setup a bit confusing. The food was satisfactory, though it wasn't anything special that I would rave about.
Facilities
6.0
The hotel has on-premises parking, which was a plus, but the lobby felt shabby and in need of some TLC. I didn't get to utilize all the facilities as much as I hoped, but the air conditioning worked really well during the heat wave.

My stay at Hotel Acadia had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic, just steps away from the main street in Old Quebec, but the service left much to be desired. I was disappointed with my experience regarding my reservation, which was a major issue, although the room was quaint and comfortable. Overall, I had a mixed experience that I wouldn't fully recommend.

Rooms
6.0
I stayed in the Louisbourg building, which had a charming but lower quality than advertised. The room was small and rather quaint, but the stairs were tricky with luggage.
Service
5.0
I experienced poor customer service. They didn’t acknowledge their mistake regarding my reservation, leaving me frustrated with no apology or resolution.
Location
9.0
The location was a highlight. It was extremely close to everything in Old Quebec, making it easy to explore the city.
Dining
5.0
Dining options were lacking. The breakfast served nearby had limited choices, with only toast and eggs, which was disappointing.
Facilities
6.0
The common areas were fine, though not really good. They were just okay and didn’t add much to my overall experience.

7.0/10

My stay at Hotel Acadia had its ups and downs. The location was fantastic - right in the heart of Old Quebec, making it super easy to explore. However, I was disappointed with the service and the room's condition, which felt outdated and not as clean as I hoped. Overall, it made the experience feel a bit underwhelming, especially given the price I paid.

Rooms
5.0
The room was not ready on time, and it smelled like cigarettes despite being non-smoking. The carpet looked worn, and I didn't even have a hair dryer in the room. Plus, it felt somewhat claustrophobic.
Service
5.0
The staff wasn't very friendly or attentive. When I asked for an extra pillow, the lady at the front desk was quite dismissive, saying I had enough already. It seemed like they didn't care about our concerns.
Location
8.0
The location was absolutely amazing! Being in the middle of Old Quebec made it super convenient for walking to all the best spots. I loved that I could easily get around without any hassle.
Dining
5.0
The dining options were a bit confusing. I was told about a local restaurant during check-in but found out later it wasn't included in my package. Also, the breakfast hours were a bit short, only lasting until 10.
Facilities
5.0
The hotel had valet parking, which was a plus, but it cost an additional $27 per day on top of the room rate. The facilities didn't seem to match up with the expectations I had based on past experiences.
